1970 Ford Shelby GT500 Fastback

This 1970 Shelby GT500 Fastback is one of just 380 carryover fastbacks sold by Shelby as 1970-model-year examples. Finished in Wimbledon White with twin black hood stripes and a black interior, it is powered by a 428ci Cobra Jet V8 with a four-barrel carburetor, ram-air intake, and finned valve covers, paired with a three-speed C6 automatic transmission. Factory-rated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque, the engine was rebuilt during a full restoration, along with the transmission, rear end, and exhaust system.

The exterior features a fiberglass nose, vented hood with NACA-style inlets, chin spoiler, fog lights, quarter-panel vents, dual square center-exit exhaust tips, and classic Shelby badging. Suspension and brakes were overhauled, and rack-and-pinion steering was added, while 15″ Shelby wheels with Michelin Pilot tires complete the aggressive stance.
