1970 Plymouth AAR ’Cuda 4-Speed

This 1970 Plymouth AAR ’Cuda is one of 2,724 built for the single model year and finished in Lemon Twist over black. Created for SCCA homologation, the All-American Racer package includes a 340ci V8 with triple two-barrel carburetors, a unique fiberglass hood with functional scoop, front and rear spoilers, longitudinal strobe stripes, and side-exit dual exhaust. The drivetrain features a four-speed manual transmission and 3.55:1 Sure Grip rear axle.

The body was refinished in 2014 with AAR graphics, a matte-black hood, “duck wing” rear spoiler, body-color sports mirrors, and driving lamps. The 15″ Rallye wheels are mounted with Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, while braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

Inside, the cabin is upholstered in black vinyl with matching dash, console, and door panels. Equipment includes a Hurst pistol-grip shifter, woodgrain trim, heater/defroster, lap belts, polished door sills, crank windows, AAR ’Cuda floor mats, and a solid-state AM radio.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The odometer shows 96,000 miles.
