1978 Pontiac Firebird Formula 8.2L 5-Speed

This 1978 Pontiac Firebird Formula was once owned by actor Burt Reynolds and has been transformed into a high-performance tribute to the Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am. Finished in black with gold accents over black and gold leather, it is powered by a Butler Performance 8.2-liter V8 paired with a five-speed Tremec manual transmission and Hurst Line-Lock. A custom exhaust, ceramic-coated headers, and aluminum radiator with electric fans complete the drivetrain.

The exterior features a Shaker hood, fog lights, vented fenders, rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and gold-accented 18″ RAMC snowflake wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555R tires. Detroit Speed mini-tubs, QA1 coilovers, and Wilwood drilled-and-slotted brakes provide modern handling and stopping power. Vinyl graphics replicate the movie-style Trans Am, and Burt Reynolds’ signature is on the glove box.
